My attempt at a steampunk version of the Green Fairy. Artemisia Absinthium is an ingredient in the liquor absinthe, and also used for flavouring in some other spirits and wines. The plant's leaves can be seen in the background behind the "wings".
The model is my good friend Katrine, (see her page here: http://nevermoria.deviantart.com/) who for a while now has been wondering how to become a cartoon character. So now she is, in a way. The other two models are her pet rats.
Naturally plenty of photo references were used.
Created entirely in Photoshop CS3 with a Wacom Volito 2 tablet.
