Just got back from a couple of days down in Canberra for the Turner to Monet exhibition. I so enjoyed it - so many fantastic paintings. Over a hundred. The Monets are just superb & there is a truly wonderful Van Gogh - really special. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous - Am feeling so inspired.

Also, there was a great surrealism exhibition. It includes a whole room full of the most wonderful, luminous Gleesons - I was so taken with him - had really only seen what is in the NSW Art Gallery & in books before & had not realised how wonderful he is. Loved the Albert Tuckers too. Although Surrealism isn't a favourite with me, there is a lot of terrific works & I enjoyed it very much.
Great visit.
