I have been trying to find the name of an artist.
This artist made paintings that look like large pieces of steel. It would look like a large sheet of metal from a warehouse dragged into the gallery. The pieces looked very heavy, like a sheet of steel slightly oxidized and slightly weathered and very realistic in colour and size, but in actual fact the paintings were acrylic on canvass. I'm not even sure if the artist still creates these type of images, but I think I first saw the works in the Sydney Biannual in the early 90's or late 80's. Unfortunately, to make it even more harder, I dont know the country this person is from either.
I've spent a bit of time on google searching for this but haven't had much luck. Does anyone know of this artist?
Thanks
