NO to paints on airplanes

I found out oil paints are not allowed on planes. What you can do is ship them by "ground transportation" through the post office. You have to specify this to them. So, my paints will arrive a few days after I get there. This is a good compromise. I will bring my brushes and hope I can find some time to work on something new. Maybe sketches for one of the up coming projects.

Interesting to know Starr, thanks for the tip.
However, I no longer paint with oils anymore.
With acrylics being what they are I can manage an oil effect with a tint and varnish and a lot cheaper as well..
Are acrylics banned on planes as well?
